The world's largest cluster of sapphires found in Sri Lanka

A group of workers digging a well in the garden of a gem merchant in Ratnapura has found a bunch of sapphires. Authorities say this is the largest cluster of sapphires in the world.

This gemstone weights 510 kilograms and is estimated to contain about 2.5 million carats. This is a bunch of Arunul gems belonging to the Kuruwinda caste and sapphire has been named as Serendipity 

This sapphire cluster is white to blue in color. The estimated market value is said to be US $ 100 million.
