Decision to mark the voter's thumb at the polls

Elpitiya local council elections are scheduled to be held on October 26. It is said that the thumb of the voter's left hand is to be marked there.

According to the report, this decision has been taken to resolve the problems that may arise as voters' left little finger were painted in the last presidential election.

It is also possible to color the thumb of the voter's left hand or any other finger of the right hand as per the Local Government Elections Ordinance (262)
