Heavy rains in the Northern Province and other areas today

The Department of Meteorology says that there may be heavy rains in several parts of the island today.

The Department of Meteorology has issued a statement saying that there may be rain or thundershowers in a few places in the Northern Province today (19).

Also, rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the evening or night in Uva and the Eastern provinces, said the announcement. It is also said that light rain is possible in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
