US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu has agreed to provide technical assistance to the government's anti-corruption program to bring back funds that have been taken out of Sri Lanka.
He made this statement during a discussion with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (07).
The President stated that the political culture has a direct impact on corruption and waste in Sri Lanka and that efforts are being made to reduce corruption and waste by creating a new political culture. The President stated that the necessary measures have already been taken to investigate illegal activities carried out nationally and internationally and to expedite those investigations.
