Discussions to give preference numbers of candidates, law for those who did not report campaign expenses

The election commission says that the release of preference numbers of parliamentary election candidates will be done in the next two days. It is said that the candidate documents with preference numbers of all the districts have been received by the Election Commission and after checking the numbers, the relevant documents will be forwarded to the district secretariats.

In the meantime, the Chairman of the Election Commission has said that legal action will be taken against the presidential candidates who did not provide campaign expenditure reports in the last presidential election. Also, in relation to the upcoming parliamentary elections, the limit of money that can be spent by one candidate on behalf of a voter is also to be informed.
